First Session with my Christmas Present

So my generous and supportive husband John was gonna get me my dream camera for Christmas. The Nikon D750. And a Tamron 24-70 G2 lens. Big upgrade from my beloved D5100. But my dilemma. Do I open it before Christmas and use it for the two sessions I have coming up or save it for Christmas morning? You can probably guess what I chose! It arrived 24 hours before my next session. Boy did I have a lot to figure out in a short amount of time. But the camera was so awesome I just had to give it a go.

I was nervous about the choice of Baker Beach in December. Even if the weather is good, which it wasn't originally predicted to be, Karl the Fog can wreak havoc on an otherwise clear day and leave you with no Golden Gate Bridge in the background despite your two hour round trip.

The Mosher family was fantastic. Friends of ours from our dog-walking group. It's exciting to see what people choose to wear for their session. Loved the beautiful teal on the ladies. The ladies who all apparently stood in God's line twice for amazing hair, eyes, cheekbones and smiles. Everyone was so fun and full of good ideas. Especially when my husband pointed out the big piece of driftwood to climb/lean on. Pleased with how everything turned out. Such a nice day and John and I finished it off with a great little dinner out in the city! I promise I was still very, very happy on Christmas morning.
